$100 for Thirty Days
Project Summary
Honor the memory of all those you hold dear by participating in the "100 x 30 Campaign." Inspired by enslaved African Kunta Kinte, his descendants, and all those nameless ancestors who arrived in this Country before us, the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Memorial in Annapolis, Maryland challenges us to learn more about our family history and to preserve our heritage stories for future generations. It is seen by some one million people per year and has been rated as one of the top ten visitor attractions in the region. The builders of the Memorial continue to work hard to capture, preserve, and share the stories of all those who have gone before us.
As we gather with family and close friends during this Holiday season to share the memories of our past, we ask that you take a few moments to participate in this exciting campaign.
What is the goal of the "100 x 30 Campaign?"
It's quick and it's easy. Help us raise a total of $3,000 before the end of 2007. The funds will be used to help maintain the Memorial, support our free genealogy research services to people from all over the world, operate the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation Resource Center, conduct summer camp programs for youth, and conduct research to unearth the hidden stories of history. Your contributions, big and small, will help sustain the work that we do and help us continue to provide services to the public.
Please follow these two easy steps:
1. Make a contribution to the campaign by clicking on the ChipIn Button to the right of this screen. All payments are securely processed by the internationally recognized PayPal service. (Please note that you do not have to have a PayPal account already to participate.)
2. After you have contributed, then send an email message about this site to three or more of your friends. Let them know that you have just finished contributing. Refer them to this web page by adding the following link to your email message: (http://miyo4689.chipin.com/100-x-30-campaign).
Or better yet, add a message about the Campaign to your favorite blog.
But you will have to move quickly. The end of the year is approaching fast -- we only have thirty days to reach our goal!
